Automobile policies are not created equal. Chubb’s auto product offers choices and features not typically found in standard policies. Chubb writes coverage more broadly than ordinary insurer’s so it can apply to more situations.

Agreed Value Coverage: With Chubb’s optional Agreed Value coverage, you agree what your car is worth when your policy is written. Then, if your car is stolen or totaled, we’ll simply write you a check for the agreed amount. This could save you $10,000, $20,000 or more at the time of a covered loss.

Choice of Repair Shop: Chubb pays for your choice of repair shop. Many standard companies strongly suggest that you fix your car at one of their “network” shops. Chubb not only provides you with the freedom to choose a body shop. If you need a referral to a trusted and certified shop, Chubb can offer one through our Masterpiece Auto Preference Services (MAPS).

Rental Car Reimbursement: Need to rent a car because yours is out of service following an accident? Chubb’s Rental Car Reimbursement Coverage pays more than nine times as much as most ordinary insurance and enables you to rent a car like the one you own. We offer the industry’s highest amount of coverage with no per-day limit.

Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Parts: While many insurers won’t pay the cost of OEM parts, Chubb will. Because Chubb knows that when you need your car repaired, you will want it fixed properly the first time.

High Coverage Limits for Liability and Uninsured/Underinsured Motorists (UM/UIM) Coverage: Your auto insurance can be a strong line of defense in the event of an accident or a lawsuit. For it to work, you need high limits of both auto liability and UM/UIM coverage. Chubb offers some of the highest limits in the business-up to $10 million in auto liability and $1 million in UM/UIM protection.

Worldwide Rental Car Coverage: Unlike most standard insurers, Chubb doesn’t limit rental car coverage to the U.S. and Canada. We cover damage to a rental car anywhere in the world. And, when you purchase a liability limit of $1 million or more, you get worldwide auto liability coverage.

Your car is an important part of your daily life. So you need an insurance policy that can keep up. While the EncompassOne® Policy protects your car, home and more, we also offer auto insurance in three levels of coverage, referred to as Elite, Deluxe and Special. With rich features, high limits and valuable insurance discounts—Encompass offers auto policies designed for whatever road life takes. In addition to the basics, our auto coverage has many included and optional features such as:

New Car Replacement

  • Your new car is an investment, and this can be a smart way to protect it. If your car is totaled due to a covered total loss, we’ll replace your vehicle with a current model year, if possible, or a new car of similar size and class if your model is no longer available—all you pay is your policy’s deductible. To qualify, your car must be under four model years old, you must be the original owner of the vehicle, and the coverage must be added when adding the car to your policy.

Accident Forgiveness

  • We understand that accidents happen to safe drivers, too. Accident Forgiveness can help keep you from incurring a spike in your premium because of an accident, which may be especially helpful if your policy includes a newly licensed driver. And when you upgrade to our Elite auto coverage, you get Enhanced Accident Forgiveness which applies to multiple—not just the first—at-fault accidents, starting the day you sign up.1

Loan/Lease Gap Coverage

  • As vehicles age and depreciate, a gap between the original amount of the loan and the car’s value can start to widen. Loan/lease gap coverage would protect you in these cases and pay off the original loan. Coverage can be added to new (previously untitled) vehicles within 30 days of financing and the vehicle must have both comprehensive and collision coverage.

Roadside Assistance

  • If you’re stranded, Encompass Roadside Assistance offers 24/7 roadside service with a wide range of available features under your towing and labor coverage. And with the Encompass Roadside Assistance app, you can leave your worries behind knowing help is just a click away. The app is convenient, easy to use and free to download.

Auto Insurance for Teens

  • If you’re purchasing auto insurance for your teenager, you’re likely wondering about how adding a newly licensed driver could affect your existing policy. While it’s no surprise it’s likely to bump up your premium, there are steps you can take to minimize the impact. For example, having unlimited accident forgiveness, which comes included with our Elite auto coverage, can help save you money and provide invaluable peace of mind.

In general, condos are insured by master policies that cover the basics, like common areas and physical structures. It’s important to understand where the condo association’s coverage ends and where your responsibility begins.

With Encompass condo insurance you can enjoy high limits and quality coverage. And with multiple tiers of protection—Elite, Deluxe and Special—you have the flexibility to choose the coverage that matches your needs and your budget. Encompass condo insurance includes:

Property location limit.

  • Some condo policies set individual limits on your home, its contents and other structures. These limits are percentages based on the actual value of your home and cannot be combined if one limit is insufficient to cover the loss. With our Elite and Deluxe condo coverage, limits are extended to cover your condo, its contents and outlying structures—giving you the freedom to allocate your limit as needed for any covered loss, whether the covered damage is repaired or replaced altogether.1

Mortgage rate protection.

  • If a covered total loss requires a new higher-rate mortgage, we will cover the increased expenses including closing costs, mortgage acquisition fees and more—up to a total of $20,000.

Increased building costs.

  • If you need to rebuild after a covered loss, you’ll be protected from increased reconstruction costs due to building codes that have changed and updated.

Personal injury protection.

  • This is a critical component of condo coverage and can protect you if you are sued for libel and slander.

Computer and data recovery coverage.

  • Protects your personal computer hardware and software—including tablets, laptops, desktops and even includes data recovery.

Jewelry and fur coverage.

  • No riders or schedules necessary—Encompass condo insurance includes a portion of coverage for jewelry and fur, and even covers such items whether they’re lost or stolen.

Water backup protection.

  • Water backup damage can unexpectedly cause severe problems—claiming losses not only on your personal property, but also threatening your condo. While some carriers exclude this, we automatically include it in our Elite condo coverage. Plus, it can easily be added to any of our other condo coverage.

With Chubb Insurance “It’s Not Just a House, It’s Your Home”

The Chubb Promise:
After a covered loss, we’ll rebuild or restore your home with the same character and class, using materials and workmanship of the very same quality. If costs go up, we’ll pay. If a covered loss exceeds your policy limit, we’ll keep paying. If your kitchen flooring was antique heart pine salvaged from an 1880s textile mill — that’s what we’ll pay for. We’ll pay extra for the right color and grade. Extended Replacement Cost Coverage is our commitment to pay what it takes, with no cap at all in most states. It’s the hallmark of Chubb’s homeowner policy.

That’s why we write coverage more broadly than ordinary insurers, to apply in more situations. We make settlement faster with less fine print. And we pay most covered claims within 48 hours of settlement.

With ordinary insurance, you can only be sure of one thing. Ordinary insurance stops paying. Policies may be strictly limited, with no regard for what happens next. When settling claims, ordinary insurers may substitute inferior quality for your home’s most distinctive features. If your limit is too low, ordinary insurance won’t pay all you need to rebuild after a total loss.

World-renowned claim service. Our highly-skilled claim service professionals are available 24/7 to respond quickly to a covered loss. Every effort is made to contact you within 6 hours of your report of loss, and in most cases we issue payment within 48 hours of a claim’s settlement.

Extended replacement cost. With Chubb’s Extended Replacement Cost coverage, we pay what it takes to have your home repaired or rebuilt — even if the cost exceeds your policy limit.*

Discounts. Chubb helps you minimize your costs without compromising your coverage — through multi-policy discounts and additional savings opportunities for loyalty and a loss-free history. Ask your agent for details.

Deductible Waiver. No deductible applies to covered losses greater than $50,000

Cash payment option. If rebuilding after a covered total loss doesn’t make sense for you — or you’d prefer to build somewhere else — you can choose cash up to your policy limit instead. The same applies when replacing a covered item that has been lost, stolen or damaged.

Water Backup of Sewers and Drains. Automatically included up to the full policy limits on the property and contents.

Expert home appraisals. Through our complimentary appraisal service, we help assess the proper amount of coverage for your home and family and offer personalized security and fire prevention advice to help keep you safe.

Temporary living expenses. When you can’t live in your home due to a covered loss or forced evacuation, we can help you find a comparable place to stay, and we’ll cover the increase in expenses until you can go home again (includes pet kenneling).

Rebuilding to code. If you choose to rebuild after a covered loss, we’ll pay the added expense to bring it up to the current code — including new plumbing and wiring, if that’s what’s needed.

Replacement value for contents. Insures your belongings for the amount it costs to replace them, without depreciation, up to your policy limit

Industry-leading coverage. We offer many industry-leading coverages and options, including family protection, which covers expenses for victims of kidnap and ransom, carjacking and other such crimes worldwide. Additional notable coverage options include Excess Liability limits as high as $50 million, and Primary and Excess Flood Insurance.

Complimentary services. Through the Masterpiece Protection Network, we can refer customers to pre-qualified service providers. Our Masterpiece HomeScanSM® uses infrared technology to proactively detect hidden hazards in the home. We also offer Chubb Wildfire Defense Services, emergency loss restoration services and curbside hurricane damage assessments in many states. Valuable identity theft coverage and services are also included with a Chubb homeowner’s policy.

Solid financial strength. Your home and possessions should be covered by a financially secure organization. Chubb receives consistently high ratings for financial strength from A.M. Best, Moody’s and Standard and Poor’s, the leading independent analyst for the insurance industry. The financial strength is currently rated A++ by A.M. Best, their highest rating.

Your home is not only one of your greatest assets, but the center of your life. And helping you protect it is important to Encompass. While the EncompassOne® Policy protects your home, car and treasured possessions under one policy, Encompass’ homeowners products offer high limits and premium features, which other carriers may exclude. Some Encompass homeowners policy features are:

200% property location limit

  • Some homeowners policies place individual limits on your home, structures and contents. These limits are percentages based on the actual value of your home and cannot be combined if one limit is not enough to cover a specific loss. With our Elite and Deluxe homeowners coverage, limits are extended to 200% of your home’s value to cover your house, its contents and outlying structures—allowing you to allocate your limit as needed for any covered loss, whether the insured damage is repaired or replaced altogether.1

Enhanced replacement cost coverage

  • We will help cover the expense if your home is affected by a covered loss and the cost to rebuild is more than the original insured amount.

Water backup protection

  • Water backup damage can unexpectedly cause severe problems—claiming losses not only on your personal property, but also threatening your home. While some carriers exclude this coverage from home insurance policies, we automatically include it in our Elite homeowners coverage. Plus, it can easily be added to any of our other home policies.

Covered losses for structure and contents.

  • Because it’s nearly impossible to consider all the risk factors you could face, our Elite homeowners policy covers many types of losses for not only your home structure, but your personal property as well.

Increased building costs.

  • If you have to rebuild following a covered loss, you will be protected from increased reconstruction costs due to changes and updates in building ordinance codes.

Mortgage rate protection.

  • If a covered total loss requires a new higher-rate mortgage, we will cover the increased expenses including closing costs, mortgage acquisition fees and more—up to a total of $20,000.

Personal injury protection.

  • This is a critical component of homeowners coverage to protect you if you are sued for libel and slander.

Computer and data recovery coverage.

  • Protects your personal computer hardware and software—including tablets, laptops, desktops and even includes data recovery.

Jewelry and fur replacement cost coverage.

  • With no need for special riders or schedules, depending on your coverage level, we will insure a portion of your jewelry and fur, whether the items are lost or stolen.

As a renter, it’s easy to underestimate the value of your possessions and the potential cost to replace them. Not having a solid renters insurance policy could leave you with devastating losses if the unexpected were to happen. That’s why Encompass renters insurance offers personal property protection that’s as comprehensive as our equivalent homeowners policies. In addition to high available limits and excellent claims service, Encompass renters insurance covers:

Personal injury protection.

  • This is important coverage to have as it can protect you if you are sued for libel and slander.

Computer and data recovery coverage.

  • Protects your personal computer hardware and software—including tablets, laptops, desktops and even includes data recovery.

A catastrophic financial loss could occur in seconds. The more you have acquired, the higher your risk for litigious encounters. Your financial security could become severely compromised due to accidental events you may have thought were adequately covered.

Excess Liability Insurance responds when the underlying liability limits of your various other policies have been exhausted. It is a critical, but often overlooked, component of your personal risk management portfolio. It helps to protect what you have spent a lifetime building when an unexpected occurrence turns into a liability judgment against you. Suddenly your exposure can threaten the security of your prized possessions and hard-earned lifestyle.

Chubb offers among the broadest Excess Liability coverage available today, with limits ranging from $1 million to $50 million. It includes…

  • Property damage and bodily injury in the event you are liable for someone getting injured on your property. If someone falls on your sidewalk, slips near your pool, or is injured by your pet, coverage would apply.
  • Lawsuits involving accusations of libel, slander, or negligent infliction of bodily injury. Social networking, websites and internet blogs have all caused an increase in libel and slander cases.
  • Additional protection for you and your covered passengers if you are involved in an accident with an uninsured or underinsured driver. The Insurance Research Council estimates that more than one out of every ten drivers on the road is uninsured.
  • Defense costs for a lawsuit, even if it is groundless, false or fraudulent, are included in the case of a covered Excess Liability loss. Chubb will provide legal counsel, with coverage for all expenses incurred. In most states, there is no cap on legal expenses incurred for a covered loss; as such expenses are outside of the liability limit.

There’s no shortage of unforeseen circumstances that could impose a real risk to your family’s assets and financial future. Encompass personal umbrella protection is critical coverage, designed to help protect you from life’s unexpected events.

A personal umbrella policy from Encompass can help protect you in situations, such as:

  • Bodily injury liability
  • Landlord liability
  • Slander and libel
  • Property damage liability (damage or loss you cause to another party’s property)

Protect yourself from real life risks.

Take a look at some examples of when a personal umbrella policy could provide critical personal liability coverage for you and your possessions.

You’re at fault for an auto accident.

Let’s say you have an auto policy that covers $500,000 in bodily injury and a $1 million personal umbrella policy. After a major at-fault auto accident, you’re found liable for a $1.25 million judgment.

Your auto coverage “runs out” at $500,000—meaning you’re potentially on the hook for the remainder. That’s where your personal umbrella coverage steps in, picking up where your auto coverage stops and covering the remaining $750,000.

Your houseguest gets injured while visiting.

It happens all the time. Someone slips on your sidewalk or falls while walking down the stairs. Hospital and doctor visits can add up quickly, and if the injury happened on your property, you could be responsible for covering the costs.

Encompass personal umbrella protection could help protect you in the event that a guest is injured in your home. Personal umbrella protection may cover the difference between your home insurance liability limit and the actual judgment—up to your personal umbrella limit—which could be potentially millions of dollars—helping protect your family’s finances and future.

QBE North America

The QBE Personal Umbrella Liability policy provides individuals with personal catastrophe liability coverage in excess of their underlying insurance coverages. We write this coverage as a separate stand-alone policy.

Agents may bind $1,000,000 of liability if all of underwriting and eligibility requirements are met.

The underlying Automobile and Homeowners coverage must be provided by QBE. For any variance to this guideline, discuss with your underwriter. If the underlying exposure is written with another carrier, a copy of the underlying dec page is required annually.

  • Limits available from $1,000,000 to $5,000,000* (* underwriting approval required over $1M)
  • Self-Insured Retention amount is $500
  • Required underlying limits
    • Auto/RV Liability: $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 Split Limits or $300,000 Single Limit
    • Homeowners: $100,000 Single Limit
    • Watercraft Liability: $50,000 Single Limit
  • New business: Each household may have no more than 1 at-fault accident or 2 total incidents within the last 3 years. Drivers under 25 or over 70 should have clean driving record.
  • Renewal business: Each household may have no more than 2 at-fault accidents or 3 total incidents within the last 3 years.
  • Discounts for cross sold policies! Policyholders having a Personal Umbrella Liability policy with QBE can qualify for Multi-Policy discounts on a QBE FlexHome or FlexAuto policy*! (*varies by state)

Multi-million dollar lawsuits are not uncommon these days. Give your customers protection and peace of mind for less than a dollar a day.   An umbrella policy can protect their assets and prevent financial hardship, giving them broader coverage if sued and the peace of mind knowing their protected.

Umbrella insurance isn’t just for the rich and famous. Whether it’s a serious at-fault auto accident or an incident on your property, you can quickly find yourself responsible for damages that exceed the limits on your auto, homeowners, renters or boat policy. An expensive judgment is the last thing you want to worry about. A Travelers Umbrella policy can help protect your assets and provide additional insurance protection.

  • Limits ranging from $1 Million to $10 Million
  • When you require legal defense for a covered claim, the policy helps cover defense costs such as attorney’s fees and other expenses.
