Are You Still Using Handwritten Applications?

In January, we announced through our blog that we’ll be implementing new technology in late spring/early summer that will change the way you currently submit new business to Indium.

The reason behind this new technology implementation? This new program (Appulate) will allow us to automate and streamline our new business submission process end-to-end, so that we’re able to process your business, faster, resulting in a competitive edge for our partner agents.

In mid-February, downloadable and fillable ACORD applications will be made available on our website agency resource portal for all Indium partner agents. We strongly encourage you to take advantage of these ACORD applications over the next few months as our new business software (Appulate) will not support handwritten applications.

While our new business team will still be able to process your handwritten applications after the launch of Appulate, it will require more manual work and will not be handled within our typical service level standards.

Due to this anticipated increase in manual work, we’ll be introducing a fee for those partner agents who continue to submit new business through handwritten applications after July 1, 2016.

We want to assure you that we’ll be providing numerous opportunities for training and support for you and your agency as the launch of this new technology draws closer.
